Frame the check and chalk it up as lesson learned. Getting law enforcement involved will get you no where -- waste of time. This scam has been going on for years. There's no way anyone will ever trace that check back to an individual...it was printed on someone's home printer and mailed to you from a post office in Nigeria. There's ZERO possibility it could be traced to someone.
 
I got the same email the other day, worded about identical, "I have much busy at home and work"...I get a couple a week because of my web site. I know a guy who went along with it and ended up losing $14,000.00..(the amount of the check), plus the merchandise..he shipped it to them before he got word from his bank the check was no good.
 
I would wipe my *** with the check and mail it back to him if it didn't cost so much!!!
