Anyone have any ideas or parts for upgrading the front suspension on a 1949 Chrysler windsor that's getting a built 383 big block?

do you want to keep it stockish or swap in something newer? what's the plan for the car? cruiser, traditional hot rod, street rod? pics?

Yup. You need to get in touch with Speedway Motors and Fat Man Suspension.

You might take a look at the D24P15 forum. Lots of threads and info on disc brake swaps, rack and pinion swaps, even complete suspension swaps with Dakota front clips

F/M/J (Volare, etc.) and Crown Vic Ks/crossmembers have been popular for years- all steering & suspension is self-contained on the crossmember. A day at the wrecking yard with a tape measure will tell you if either one will work with your Windsor frame width.
