it's a good idea to paint the backside of the dash white. then in the future when you have to crawl on the floor under the dash to do anything (bulbs, wiring, heater etc) it's much brighter and easier to see what you're doing
neil.

That would have been good to know before I painted it black… it’s black now.

I’ve seen some people do them the same color as the car is painted? It looks like maybe it was turquoise or blue before at some point.

if the dash's still out it'll cost peanuts to go over the black with white, think of the black as undercoat :poke:

I see what you’re doing here… but think of how much I’ll have to do in order to paint the back side white then repair the whole front black again lol.

I should just have the paint shop paint the dash body color like I see a lot of people do.

I’ve seen a lot of T5 cars lately. Look at this one that just got painted in Washington.

Going to have to wet sand this then spray a couple more coats.

Umm… these are brand new shocks… fully bottomed out… I don’t think they are supposed to be like this. I get that they are cheap shocks, but the wood block is the only reason it’s not completely bottomed out.

Wait… I lied. Bottomed out because there are no torsion bars lol. I’ll have to get some for this thing. 1.02 bars

Dashes (oem) are NEVER gloss and interiors are always a couple or a few shades of primary color.
SEM Trim Black part #39143 is what is going on it today. If it looks no good then it will go off to the painter.

I need to find another project to do with the car. The dash needs a wiring harness and some more bezels before it can really be put back together. Oh and it needs a speaker and a new radio… going to get this radio.

Tag decided to a 383 4 spd, 3.23 sure grip, black buckets, front disk, bright yellow. Stripe delete? And a sold car meaning some one ordered it special.

It might have been in the alan miller registry at least a 1 in 100 chance! A 4 speed out of AZ

I wish I had an extra 10k:(
