I have a 68 Dart that I would like to convert over this winter. I hoping someone has done this and what I may need to do to accomplish this. Not just a button. Proper switch and such.
Thanks

I wanted to get rid of the manual pump on my 1970 Dart because leaks in the pump dribble fluid into the rug and floor pan, undetected until it's too late. I saw a solution on FABO to remake the footpump into a momentary switch connected to a factory electric pump system. The unexpected bonus was being able to use the washer without letting go of the steering wheel while driving in challenging conditions.

Props to whoever came up with that. What an elegant solution!!

Someone here made this for me. I sent him an original foot pump and he converted it. Don't want to post, who since he might not want a bunch of requests to do more, but he removed the pump and turned the cup it sits in over to make the mount for the momentary switch with the rubber cover, which came as an off the shelf item from an electronics parts supplier.

Well, cats out of the bag now. Matt converted mine and with 15,000 miles on the Dart since installation it has worked flawlessly.
