Here's a quick snap of the 68' we're working on. When she's finished, the transformation will see the suspension upgraded, the 9" Drums replaced with 73 Duster front Disc, a new Rear (7.25" swapped out with a (please forgive me)), a Ford 8.8 Rear, and a 440 Stroker with 727. The Engine is being built, the Tranny is done, and the Spindles are coming. So we're getting there.

When I bought her, the Driver's Door had seen better days.

Getting the Rust Out

Thankfully, I found a Body shop who still works metal, not just swap parts. They're cutting and welding in some new metal. Ironic, all the great craftsmans are becoming harder and harder to find.

More to Follow....

So, the Fenders are off, and alot of Sanding. Did I mention Sanding, oh yeah my arms are about to fall off.

This was a painful picture....

Hours of stripping off the Vinyl top, and sanding Three layers of paint....

More to follow.... Hopefully next week, I'll capture the Rear Swap, and the Engine Breakin (Finger's crossed :)...)

The Passenger side faired just alittle better...

Soon, this tired power plant will get a well deserved rest....

She's only 42,000 Miles on her, but a cracked Piston sent her out early\

The 7 1/4" will soon be resting as well, replaced by a Ford 8.8", geared to 4.10

Ok, more to come.

Looking good. I merged your 2 threads together so you can keep all your progress going in one thread.

Good job Tac, keep the pictures and descriptions updated as you progress. Make sure you take lots of photos and measurements, as well as item descriptions, when you do the Ferd rear end swap. I'm sure this will become a more popular swap into our A Bodies as the 8.25 and 8.75 Mopar parts get more difficult to find and even more expensive.
