Tailight panel and quarter panels

I am going to be replacing both quarter panels and rear tail light panel on 74 duster, I am trying to understand if the tail light panel should go on first and then the quarter panels or if the quarter panels should go on and then the tail light panel.

If your current panels are factory. Hit the joint with heat to melt the lead on the outer edge of the tail light opening. Once the lead is removed you will be able to see the joint for sure. My body guy only had to replace my quarters, so I would say the the quarters would go over the tail panel.

I did the quarters and then the taillight section. Leave the deck lid on where it was aligned before doing any work so you can place each part in place aligned to the deck lid, The taillight section goes over the quarters
