Temp sending unit

I have a 70 Dart with 340 and Rallye dash. The temp gauge has been recoed. For resistance are all the sending units the same or do i need a specific resistance

There seems to be a bit conflicting info hence the question. There are posts regarding risistance values but none given. I looked at Rockauto but i'm not sure.
By the way i'm down under and not alot of resources down here
