Sooo, looking to drop in the lockout dizzy for my turbo efi 225 project. Am I just dropping her in at TDC and having the timing controlled by the unit? Using the factory ign coil integrated in the system. Or do I still fire it up when ready, set time and punch it into the computer? Or use a degree wheel on the crank pulley and set?
thanks
Ron

There is lots of documentation on MS but I have not kept up. You really need to do some research over at the DIY Megasquirt pages. One big thing you need to realize is that the electronics in the MS can be adjusted to delay the spark from the trigger. So the trigger point is not that important. What you can NOT adjust electronically..........is where the rotor is. So running, regardless of where spark event happens, the rotor must be aligned with the proper plug tower in the cap "Rotor phasing" Last I knew you could trigger MS with just about anything, from breaker points to breakerless dist to crank trigger.

"Somewhere" there is a manual you can download on the site
