Hi guys and gals heres the scoop 71 Duster,15x7 police wheels,no body mods, what tire size will work and fit the best? Same on all 4 corners or 2 different sizes front and rear? Thanks for any suggestions

I ran 225/60/15's on cop rims on my Duster for awhile. Only thing I did was make an adjustment on the fender corner to bumper bracket brace in the front.

That will be close to maxed out on the front, that set up is pretty close to the fenders. In the back you can get a lot more tire under there. You could probably run a 255/60/15 out back without issue, assuming you have an A-body width rear axle. A 275/60/15 will fit in the back on a Duster with the stock spring locations, but that size isn't recommended for a 15x7" rim.

I agree, 225/60R15 on all 4 corners. For the rear end you can squeeze a 235/60 on your 7" rims, but that's the biggest tire for a 7" wheel.

226/60-15 should fit fine.. i don't like only 4 1/4" backspace though. i'd rather have more. minimum 4 1/2" but i'd go 4 3/4" backspace.

here is how a 15x7 with 4 1/2" backspace wheels and 225/60-15 tires fit on our dart.

72blu and I disagree here out back 225-60-15 is good maybe even 235's but not up front. Go smaller up front or you will have problems

I have 245/60 R15's in the rear.
I have 1/2" clearance on the spring side and 2" on the fender side.
See the pic.

I gotta disagree with 225 measurement, I ran 225/70/14 for a while on my '74 swinger, and it would rub in a hard turn. 215 is probably the max, IDK about the dusters though.

I did not comment on the biggest tires that'll fit the car, because I have a Dart, and I don't know. Darts and Dusters have completely different fenders & wheel wells. From all I've read, a Duster has tons more room. But for zero problems, on almost any A Body, a 225/60r15 works great because it's the correct diameter and looks/fits a 7" wheel perfectly, as is nicely illustrated by abodyjoe's beautiful Swinger, and by 72bluNblu's Duster.
