Torque Specs Ss Springs

Hello,

Can anyone supply me with the torque specs for the U bolts and both front and rear shackles? I am changing from stock to SS Springs on my 67 DART.

If I remember correctly the U-Bolts are 45 lb ft

I went back and checked my Mopar shop manual and low and behold all the specs were there including the shackles!

Hello!

The U-Bolts get torqued to 65 ft lbs. The front spring eye, has no set torque, but it has to be the right size bolt, for the spacer in the bushing. The rear shackle also has no set torque, but must be greased and swing freely.

The lower part of the shackle must point rearward, when the car is sitting on all four tires.

DO NOT over torque the shackle bolts. They snap very easily. G'head, ask me how I know. ;-)
