How do I know or measure the size of my
torsion bars. The only numbers on the bar
are UPX 893L ANY HELP OUT THERE.
Thanks AJ

The 893 is the last three digits of the mopar part number. The other one will be one digit different. I have a listing by part number at home that I will post if no one else does and I think you can get the list from the mopar performance catalog on there web page, certainly you will find it if you search the web.

If your car is an original 340 car that has not been modified the bars should be 0.870" in diameter. The next smaller bar is 0.850" and the next larger is 0.890" so if you have a set of calipers you should be able to measure accurately enough to figure out what you have.

THANKS those numbers are the Summit raceing cat. numbers grt help
thanks AJ

892 goes on the right hand side, 893 goes on the left. Should be a blue stripe of paint on the right, and two blue stripes on the left.

That's also why there is an "L" following the 893. Would have been a lot easier for us all, if they would have had the diameter stamped into one end.
