Transmission mount bolts

i bought a 1973 valiant a while back and basically just drove it until now. I just looked underneath for the first time and there are no bolts in the mount. I want to replace the mount but I couldn’t find any info about the bolts. Is the mount or tranny tapped or is it simple through bolts? Anyone know the size? Thanks.

The two bolts that thread into the transmission tail housing are 7/16" x 20 x 1"-1 1/4"

This reminds me of a previous thread. That owner purchased what was supposed to be the correct mount but the bolt holes didn't line up. Puzzled him and this forum for a couple days. He never gave up and left the bolts out though. He did finally find the correct mount. Good luck with yours.

Use blue Loctite on those bolts.

Thanks. I looked at the eBay link and it’s 12 dollars after shipping and I called my hardware store and they have the size you guys said for 62 cents. So when I get a chance I’ll go try them out. Hopefully mine is normal easy peasy.
