I have a 68 cuda vert. I got it without engine or tranny. It previously had a 225 in it. I picked up a 225 from a 68 Dodge Dart. Anyone know what I am going to run into when I decide to install? I already noticed the tranny on the "new" motor has a three prong plug and the cuda has no female end that I can find. Also appears I am goint to need trans linkage. Any ides on that?
Thanks
Pike

your earlier car had a single wire going to the trans for neutral safety. Your cars reverse lamp switch is on the steering column or the floor shifter. I have a few pieces of the column shift linkage.

I have all of the linkage on a slant 6 in the shop. If you need it just message and i'll get it off for you. Geof

Thanks for the replies. It is a column shift and I don't have the linkage from either veh. I am going to go take a closer lookie today to see just what I need.
Thanks again

In that case your reverse lamp switch is under the dash and mounted on the steering column. It has 2 wires, purple I think. If that switch should ever fail you can route those 2 wires trough the firewall and on to the trans switch instead. Meanwhile you will only need the one brown wire coming from starter relay to the 3 prong neutral safety switch.

OK, Thanks redfish. Does the brown wire go to ant particular prong on the plug?
I have another new question but will start a new thread.
