Trunk mat education

Bought a new rubber backed trunk mat for my 67 Barracuda convertible. Ad said original specs, etc... I got it, put it in jack is in with spring, and its two inches short in the width. Length is no problem.

So I'm asking from the factory did the trunk mat fit side to side, or was it short??

Replacement trunk mats are far from original. If it look good? Stay with it.

Oh I agree and this one is nice. Heck its two inches short, and that's without a spare in the wheel well.

Usually they are more liked printed tablecloths nowadays.

This one is vinyl with a rubber backing pre-cut. Will need to trim it around the trunk brackets so that it lays flat. My trunk is dark blue so might take a piece, match it to the pattern, and see how it looks. Its darker on that side so with the busy pattern they have the cut might blend in. If not I'll thrown my California duster in there and call it good.

I got mine from stockinteriors.com can get pre cut or cut to fit, I bought the cut to fit.

I know its an old thread, but need to order uncut material, too. I see stockinteriors offers 5 different materials. Which one did you get, and does it lay down flat well enough on its own? I want something somewhat heavy, like a thick rubber if possible.

Sorry I didnt see this yesterday, I went with the vinyl one it has a thin rubber on the back side. Yes it stays down on it's own. This isnt that thick and not really heavy to be honest but lays in good and easy to cut to fit.

Great. Thanks for the details. It sounds like the vinyl will work fine for me, as I have several lines and cables to cut around.
