Here is a set of American made 10.5/1 Flat top Forged Pistons.
These have been on the shelf in the shop since the last century.

These are a much better metallurgy and consistent machine quality
than the India or Chinese pistons you find today

They do not have their skirt coating that I often find in the pan in
after the first few thousand miles.

They materials back then plus consistent machining tolerances allowed you to run a
tight skirt clearance for better sealing and longevity.

They had a couple or three of races on them in my 440 Six Pack 1969 Roadrunner
That held the B/S stock record but are very nice low use condition and ready to put
in your car. I ran them a pressed pins so NHRA could not weigh any of my rotating
assembly separately. they had no way to unpress a piston pin at the track to find out I
was fudginf on my rotating weight!

JTLYK .... Those are cast pistons. Forged wouldn't have the casting indented circle on the top, and would have the letter "F" after the part number.

I do not believe that the F prefix was added to the TRW/Sealed
power pistons before 2000. I believe that these pistons are forged.
Looking at the skirts and the undersize, they do not look like cast
pistons to me. I do not believe that that part # was ever cast.
I will show them to a machine shop this week and apologize and
withdraw this ad if I am mistaken.

I have two sets of the same pistons (.030 and .060) ; but for a 383. I been told over the years they're cast because of the round indentation on the tops and no "F" after the part number. I could have been misinformed all these years and if so; I apologize in advance.
