I cant help with your question, but i can point out we need more info. Are you talking about an early a, up thru 66, with the small engine compartment, or the 67 up cars with the bigger engine compartment, where a big block at least fits?Anyone able to report on tti header fitment on an A body with manual steering and brakes and a B engine? Thanks.
Not on a B..But I have the 2 inch This on my RB in my 71 Demon.Anyone able to report on tti header fitment on an A body with manual steering and brakes and a B engine? Thanks.

Did u have to dent the #7 pipe?TTI small tube shorties in my 71'Dart with manual steering. They fit great IMO.

I had to ding #1 where it comes back and drops down to where my steering coupler wouldn't hit it.Did u have to dent the #7 pipe?

Dragonsteel?Sorry. For Dragonsteel.
Most definitely 1.75 will fit better...Mine are 2 inch and tight.Gotcha! 1.75 may fit better...
I'd of run 1.75 but I'm running a pretty healthy 440 with Indy Heads so I went with the 2 inch.Gotcha! 1.75 may fit better...
They fit okay. I think they fit better on an RB block than on a B block. Looks like they were designed for the RB and so they just kind of fit on a B. They fit with a straight plug head but they'll fit even better with an angle plug head. I'll probably swap in a set of TF240 heads just to improve the access to the spark plugs.Anyone able to report on tti header fitment on an A body with manual steering and brakes and a B engine? Thanks.
What type of block and headers are you using?..I can change my starter by removing just the torsion bar. I'm using a stock starter for a 96 Dodge truck which is quite small. To remove the drivers side header I have to pull the torsion bar, disconnect the tie rod end and remove the steering box. To remove or install the passenger side header I have to jack the engine up on that side. I'm using a RB block with Indy Heads and 2 inch TTIs in a 71 Demon. I'm also using the stock biscuit style K-member that came with the car. I know some fellas like using the newer 73 and up K-member that has the spool type mounts, but doesn't the spool type mounts cause the engine to sit a little lower than the biscuit style mounts? The headers are basically impossible to install or remove with the K frame in the car so be prepared to pull the K frame to change the starter. I bolted the engine all together and installed it from below. I tried installing the headers with the K frame in place and it just wasn't going to happen.

The headers are close to the torsion bars on mine. Was thinkin bout Andy’s build using C body hp manifolds. Kinda gotta do a B engine as I’m building a 451. I wondered if tti headers sat down on the torsion bars compared to the RB engine....
Andy F, What is the background of the k frame stand in this photo? Is this something you built, or was it purchased?View attachment 1715594388
Yes they do sit down on the torsion bars and they are tighter to the block than on an RB. The headers fit but you have very limited access to things. As I said above, the K frame has to be removed to change the starter. If you're okay with that then go for it. When I talked to TTi about the fit they said that the headers could be installed or removed if the car is on a two post lift. I don't have a two post lift in my shop so that option doesn't work for me.Was thinkin bout Andy’s build using C body hp manifolds. Kinda gotta do a B engine as I’m building a 451.
