I finally decided to investigate why the horn on my 72 demon wasn't working and I discovered that the connector tab on the horn contact ring for the switch's ground wire was broken off. Probably unrelated but the plastic insulator that is sandwiched between the copper ring and adapter looks pretty deteriorated as well.

Is it possible to remove/replace the copper horn contact ring on the bottom of a tuff wheel steering column adapter?

Here's a picture (not mine) of what I'm referring too:

Yep. I may have a spare?

Be sure to note the pin position on the lock ring, it cancels your turn signal cam, so you want it to go back in the same spot.

Remove lock ring with large pair of snap ring pliers (It has a lot of pressure) and the contact ring will slide off, but be gentle, the plastic insulator gets brittle with age and will tend to separate from the copper ring. As noted, mark the location of the turn signal cam canceller before disassembly.
