I've got a set of 660s to try when/if I go to the track with the Roadrunner but I understand that because they have no power valve circuit they are not a street carb.
Thanks Jay! These are just the Indy's with spraybars added, I had our local guy "Bill" of QC coatings put 'metal vane' ? powdercoat on. I also cut-out and added the "M" sticker. I do get a bunch of compliments on these but they were probably $600...ooof damn, hate to even remember.
Post 136. Nice car. But do not see the point of installing a high air flow intake & then choke it with tiny A/C filters.
I have velocity stack style ac bases with large K&N air cleaners too for the track. Around town the small air cleaners don’t choke it out according to my A/F gauge.
Thank you! If you study that pic you can see it's a dry-sump. There are 3 stages in the pan and 1 in the valley.
Are you spraying oil on the valve springs or rockers with your external, through the valve cover line?
These covers were bought for a different build in which I needed the 'spray and pray' system. E.G.-Pray the trajectory is correct AND adequate to oil both the fulcrum and the pushrods! Because this engine is 'pushrod' oiled, I don't need the spraybars but they can't hurt. the springs get hot etc.
