Unusual S6 Setup

I was over at the local muffler shop today getting some exhaust work done. There's a scrap operation next door. Sitting in the middle of the lot were two industrial welders both powered by S6 converted over to propane. They had a 165 amp alternator mounted on the left side of the engine. Apparently these units cam from a minning operation in Idaho. The old boy that owns the business said I could have the motors for $50 each.
