Upper radiator hose

i need to replace the upper radiator hose on a 71 demon 318 engine. The old hose is a 1 5/8 ID hose. After two days calling and visiting every local auto parts chain and on multiple web sites I am unable to find such thing. Everyone insists the hose is 1 1/2". It is not. Any ideas for a source for the correct hose?

I have a 74 Duster with 318 and just installed 26" radiator. The upper hose is 11/2" but the bulge or barb on the radiator nipple is bigger than 11/2. It's about 1/16 to 1/8 bigger to hold the hose. I think the 11/2 hose will work. The outside dia. of hose is 113/16.

That's the exact hose I got at Autozone by ordering it for a 73 Dart 318 so maybe next time don't tell them it's a Demon.

Confused, so is the Gates 20602 measuring 1 5/8" inside diameter or 1 1/2"?

It's the proper hose for the application.

I always tell the clerk I'm going to step in back and find a hose that work. They don't have a problem with it. Did that last time with my cuda /Griffin radiator install. Found top and bottom hose.
