In most cases, ( you didn't say what engine ), OEM parts works together without conflict. Aftermarket stuff ( like headers ) is where conflicts are.

Yes 340 manifolds Work with power steering. Have that set up on Jamie’s dart

I’m using the earlier manifolds but the later ones will work too

The LA series left hand exhaust manifolds all seem to have that upswept design where they exit the exhaust port at the head and go UP at about a 45 degree angle before turning rearward. You can thank "rear steer" for that. The steering box being mounted behind the front axle centerline will do this! They could have mounted the steering box lower but that would have resulted in a steeper steering column angle like a 1950s era Ford truck. The rear steer design is a problem for headers and exhaust systems but was better for handling since the steering gear was more to the center of the car. It also allowed for a shorter steering column which saves weight.

What exhaust did you use?

I have the TTI head pipes & I'm thinking along the lines of the Pypes exhaust with the street pros.I have that system on my 79 Z-28 & it sounds good.
