Okay so tomorrow I am pulling off the offy intake and carter afb 925sa carb off of my 69 barracuda. All this stuff was put on by the P.O. The car sat for a few years and the gas was beyond gas when I got it but I managed to get it running
decent with new fuel. Anyways I got a new edelbrock performer intake and 1406 carb. I started pulling stuff apart tonight and noticed that the vacume advance hose was plugged off at the carb with the hose slipped over it. Whats all this about ?? The car has a mopar electronic ignition in it if that matters ??

I know its a dark pic but the hose from the distributer was slid on over that white cap.

Passenger side port is indeed "timed" or "ported" vacuum, meaning none at idle. Vacuum is very helpful for better fuel mileage. It drops out at wide throttle settings, so does not affect full power

By the way you can download "the manual" from Edelbrock for those carbs, showing how to jet them, etc

Well, my guess would be that he didn't believe in vac adv., but didn't want the world to know!
