any one make BB retainers that would gain me .060 ish
on my valve spring height? the heads are 906 and the springs are Comp #911. thanks

Why comp 911 and not the 926 spring that's recommended for the 383/335 cam they make?

There are +.050 locks available. They increase installed height.

I'd suggest getting a clean height measurement using a spring height micrometer for every valve.

can i use the comp cam spring #926 in dodge 906 heads?
if so where were you a couple months ago? when i bought new 911 springs. LOL thanks

I'd say yes as that's the recommended spring, 926, there are no notes regarding seat cutting. Installed height is 1.80 and pressures aren't insane high, 110ish. That's the easier solution using new. If the stock springs, when tested, have decent pressure on seat and over the nose, run them.

Here's another potential issue. Std chrysler multi-groove valves? I don't recall any +.050 valve locks for those.

IMO, the 911 are too heavy on the seat at anything shorter than 1.900. At 1.800 they are stupid heavy for that size camshaft.

i will see if the speed shop will take back my new 911 springs aback (never used) and get some 926 springs then shim the valve springs to as close as i can get to 1.80 . my installed height now with the 911 springs range from 1.830 - 1.870 so the 926 springs (installed height of 1.80) should put me where i want to be. the engine is a mild 1968 383 with a new 68 RR 335hpMP cam thanks

the 926 comp spring has a seat pressure of 109 lbs at installed height. is 109 lbs good for a BB?
