i need 1.88 intake and 1.60 exhaust valves for a pair of 587 heads... this is a stock bottom end motor, with comp xe274H and Weiand intake unless i can find a little smaller cam so i don't have to run double springs... so i dont see a need for expensive valves. i would love nothing more than aluminum heads, but gotta do with what you can afford and already have...

where is the best place to buy stock small block valves?

i was looking around on those.. im not sure how well i trust like a local parts store .. shit they want to know if you automatic or manual just for headlight bulbs... would it be worth it trying to clean up valves i already have laying around? what decides whether a valve is good or bad

That's just how their computer programs are written. Like all the online parts sites, you answer questions about your car to get to the correct application.

I believe your stock valves are multi grooved.Match them up and I think Mancini sells the m multi groove. Check Sealed Power as well

Like I said, Ive got the same cam with the complete kit. Got the same 587 heads. Buy the time I machine the heads to accept the springs and seals and install new valves, I could have bought cam , lifters and aluminum heads for about the same$$.

Cheap aluminum heads maybe.... Quality costs more.

You can buy SI valves direct from them just call. Ferrara has several distributors that you can find online.

I bought Magnum valves from them for around $12.00 per valve.

Used them all the time. Intake stems usually don't wear much, Exhaust usually need to be replaced. I typically go with Ferrea stainless valves for exhaust. Do you have valves? Intakes can be 2 or 4 groove. Exhaust are 4 groove. Just reuse them.

I recommend Re use of the stockers you have laying around or change the guides for 11/32 and do some 1.94/1.60 valves that you can get for 98 bucks for 16 stainless elgin pro stock valves on amazon.

That cam should not need double springs! I run the 292/508 mopar purple cam and run single springs with damper. Mine are crane valve springs.

I have a set of 3/8 stem, single groove 2.02/1.60 valves I’d sell you for 65 bucks shipped. These came out of my personal heads and I’ll never use them.

You will need to grind them. They do have 50 degree faces on them, but you just grind them back to 45 and run them.

PM me if you are interested.

EngineTech are the brand I use all the time, have had good luck with them. Check the sellers on ebay, search:

                  1976 Dodge 360 Valves

'76 era or whatever year your heads are, then you don't get into the magnum engine applications.
