The internet has gone mad over the past few days over these apparently dumped Essex High School driver’s education consoles. Students would practice their driving in the classroom while watching a large cinema style screen and be graded on their performance.
Since the consoles were made from late 1960s Mopar parts the steering wheels, dashboard parts and Dodge van seats are all now rather desirable…
 
I recall the simulators we used were Ferds. :lol: I was frequently chastised for using too much throttle and side stepping the clutch in those stop light simulations :rofl: Obviously RTs were not part of the grading system :lol:
