I always thought 70s & later voltage regulators were fairly bullet proof. Then I opened the hood to my 70 duster to start working on it after 20 years. After that time of freezing cold & 100+ degree summers my regulator was not bullet proof.

Went to Advance, bought the only one they had. CHINA **** dead outta the Box! No returns or refund on Electrical parts.....I wanted to go off, but f it, ain't worth it

I know I'm not the only one here who did it, but I used to go to the junk yards and pull small stuff like that, just in case.
That is total BS.
Ask for the manager and fling it at him!
That's worth the trip back to the store.
