VR-200’s…… AGAIN…….

Hey Rod, are the headers on that engine Hooker 5303’s?

I can usually tell for sure but the front on view makes it a bit more difficult.
Yep, that's what we used. I wanted to use TTI 1 7/8" but I was afraid they wouldn't clear the back of the dyno.

Thanks,
Rod

I’d love to test them back to back but I do t have the TTI’s to do it or I would.

I modified my dyno so about any header will fit. I had a Pontiac that had headers hitting the dyno. I just modified it.

What headers are you wanting to test back to back?
The TTI's against what?

The barracuda in the original post ran TTI's with this engine, not the ones we tested with. I don't know if it helped or hurt it on track but, sometimes we can only do what we can do. lol

Thanks,
Rod

Against the Hooker 5303’s Rod had on the dyno.

I have the Hookers but I don’t know anyone with TTI 1 7/8 headers.
I have a set that came out of my car. And god knows I’m no where near ready to put the engine back in it yet.
Not sure what the cost to ship them would be.
I like the data.

I’ll check on shipping but I suspect from Maine to Washington would be EXPENSIVE.
As is everything else these days.
I might be able to ship them from work.
I’ll need a box and find some help with packing them up. I’m down the use of. A n arm for a bit.

i have no problem with those dyno numbers. Vick's car runs 9.20's so the heads are capable of making that much power.

I don't know how true it is, But Ryan Johnson told me years ago the the Hookers were 15hp better that the TTI's.

You can't find the Hookers or the Headman headers any longer.
The small block Mopar world is slowly going away.

Ryan said that the TTI headers had too sharp of a bend at the head.

I think Brian at Indio Machine a few years back compared the TTI’s to the headman hustler headers and the difference was significant. Like 30 horse maybe if I remember. It’s been a while

For small block?

My last two set of headers I had built.
I think this is the only way to go. I built my first set for the 355 W2 and just built my second set for the W8’s. Both headers look similar. The W8 header have bigger pipe and collector then the W2 header.

somewhat easy to do.
