I finally got my cam degreed in and came across another "huh?" situation. After I installed my harmonic balancer and "mock installed" my water pump and pulley, I noticed there was an alignment difference between the balancer and the pump pulley. The balancer will only go on so far with the oil slinger sandwiched between the balancer and the crank gear. (and I can assure you that is all the way on) Is it possible (I didn't check) that the double roller crank sprocket that I installed (JP Performance) is thicker than the stock, single roller sprocket? I made a spacer .063 thick and installed it between the pump shaft flange and the pulley. The pulley lined right up. Has anyone else come across this with a non-OEM timing set?
