Pitted with our 4 Mopar Stock/SS car on the North
end of the track next to our Good Friends in the Goodyear/MT
trailers.

If you are interested = Stop on by and say Hi if you are attending the
race or next week at Double Divisional at the same Venue!

We I got a win in Superstock in the Aspen Wagon.

I raced a young girl a 3rd generation
Superstock racer.

I raced her Grandpa 35 years ago.

I raced he Dad 20 years ago.

Boy the years fly by as you get OLD!

It was close to 100 yesterday in the shade if you could
find any.

Good luck John and son I believe!! Enjoy the great time

Faster when we have fun, cool story.. stay on it, may the light be good to you

We I made thru the Saturday rounds of
eliminations in the 318 wagon racing cars that
are 50 MPH faster. It is akin to catching a bullet
in your teeth judging the finish line margin.

At least I made it to the Final rounds on Sunday and
I believe the very final round will be televised. Last round
we had the longest burndown staging that I have ever seen
in 60 years of racing in Superstock. I am surprised that we were both
not thrown out. My opponent in a new COPO Camaro just did not come
to stage and when I saw that I just pulled up short of Prestage and
shut my engine off until he finally approached staging. I was holding
about 2 hundred on the tree.

He dial in 9.61 to my 318 Aspen 318 Wagons 12.36. He ran 9.608 breaking
by a razor thin .002 or about an inch or two at 140MPH.

A COPO Camaro is a $200,000 investment by the time it is purchased and
prepared to race (Some guys claim $250,000+). It shifts itself has traction
control and the fuel injection self corrects to keep ET consistent. Our Thermoquad
and 904 cannot help us with any of those items.

Our Aspen Wagon Turnkey as raced was $7,500!

But we race cars and not Checkbooks at these Tracks.

I face my good friend Mike Cotton in His Big Block Cuda on Sunday
and the little 318 is really battling to run the index in this heat
(Nearly 100 in the Shade Yesterday)! He will be the Odds on
favorite by a real bunch!

Stay Tuned tomorrow!

God is so very Good to this Elder Guy.

I am just very Blessed to be still here and able to still
do this as I am approaching the finish line of life in my nearly
80 years. May of my friends were not able to do this and
I praise God every morning that I wake up!

I wish u all the luck in the world to go along with your skills. You guys do us proud. Now go finish cleaning his clock. Kim

Good luck today !!
Sounds like it's going very well and hopefully take that big block Barracuda

You're a good Christian guy John that knows what it takes to win....that's why you're successful!!!! Some of those guys need to look into Jesus....he can really help em man..You will go down as a legend regardless if you win any more races or not....You paid your dues...It's an honor to hear your updates every time you go racing...Believe me when they see they are racing you ,the first thing they think is oh boy this guy has 60 years of track time....I'm in trouble!!! God bless you....

Good luck John. I’m a fan of Mike to, should be fun to watch. He’s battling the weather and the track to I’m sure so don’t count yourself out

In that racing there is no odds on favorite. You know your cars and what to do. Both drivers need to bring it and produce numbers or go home. No difference or advantage in the other lane.

We I faced Kirsten Bell in her fast COPO Camaro.
She put up an absolutely Killer .002 light and ran
8.63 @ 155 MPH on a 8.60 Dial In. I trailed with
a 12.40 @ 105 MPH on my 12.36.

It has been a long hot exhausting week and sometimes
frustrating week. However , I would not have missed it
for anything. I had Rod from Tennesse ( Former National
Record Holder in his Demon) and Steve from S. Dakota ( One
of the Faster Roadrunners against the index) both helping out.
Also, my son Jon and his father-in-law Jerry all helping run our
operation.

Tomorrow maintenance on everything.
Testing at track Tuesday.
Double Divisionals (Bringing four Stock/SS cars) Wednesday thru Saturday.

Then worshiping our risen Lord Jesus on Easter Sunday.

Jesus is every much the God of the Wild Jungles as well as the quiet
Forests in our lives!
