Having a hard time figuring out where this oil is leaking from. Some may say its the valve cover gaskets but this is the second set of VC gaskets and they were tightened evenly seems like alot more oil at the base of the head.

The first photo looks like a leak is coming down from the valve cover. Is it an aftermarket cover? Maybe it doesn't seat all the way, interferes with something, and needs to be trimmed? If it's a steel cover, check around the bolt holes to check for cracks. It's pretty common to find ones that had the bolts overtightened in the past and the captive washer put a cut in the cover. Even alloy cover can get cracks too. I can't tell where we're looking in the second photo.

If it goes down from the valve cover, then it's coming from higher up. But it doesn't have to be a faulty gasket. It can be the fit of the gasket to the cover. Or if tin covers, they have to have near perfectly flat flanges, because you cannot "torque" the 5 measly screws to overcome the bad flanges.
Speaking of the 5 screws, the seats for those screws are often torn out from years of being over-tightened. I like to use the Chevy-type load-spreaders on those lower "bolts".

Of it appears to be coming from the gasket, follow the gasket uphill towards the front until you find the trail from the valve cover coming down. I have never has a headgasket leak oil only. I mean I suppose it could happen but I really doubt it.

Many oil leaks that appear to originate at the valve covers are in reality coming from the PCV grommet, the breather grommet, or somebody just spilled oil on it while adding some. If alloy covers, many of those have had the baffles removed because they interfered with the rockers, and made ugly noises.

Leak looks like it's at front of the cover so probably not oil sender. They usually leak at the rear of the valve cover because of pitch of engine. I had V.C. leaks until I broke down and bought new covers. That solved the problem.

Make sure your PCV system is working correctly, back pressure can cause all kinds of mystery leaks.
