Saw a "short" pistol grip for sale but it has Hurst stamped into it. I was just wondering if it is an original Mopar part or what. And being referred to as short, what body would that be for?

I believe that's an E-Body shifter and made specifically for Mopar by Hurst....

The slip in style was 70 only and then the bolt in style came along I think...

Correct, slip in was 70, 71 to 74 was bolt in. this one could also be 71 to 74 b body with console. and all pistol grips were made by Hurst only for mother Mopar.

My '71 Super Bee (B Body) had a short pistol grip shifter (which I also thought was an E body shifter, but I've seen them in a few B Bodies since then), and I'm 99% sure it said Hurst on it. (I sold it over 25 years ago, so I could be mistaken)
