What are these rubber dash corner closeout pieces called and can I get them as repops? Thanks Matt
Need a little help with the year and model car. ?
67, 68, 69 all A body, may also be newer. These in particular are barracudas
under the outside edge of the dash frame, right?
Yes. They get installed before the dash frame goes on.
I can't answer your question as for it being repopped, but what's wrong with those ones pictured?
Nothing. These are on my 67. I plan to eventually clean them up with a small amount of lacquer thinner and reinstall them. I need a second set for my sons 69. Those are missing.
Matt don't use laquer thinner it will dry them out try saddle soap instead it will soften them up a little.
A wanted thread is what you need here.
Did you all see the thread on moparts about revitalizing rubber parts? SOLVED A/C box vacuum pots, rejuvenate rubber innards I haven't tried to verify the info (yet) but it seemed reasonably well researched. One product that seems pretty safe is RU-glyde. It used to be sold in small cans but now I've only seen it in 1 gal. containers. Mostly used to aid in tire mounting now.
Never seen them! 69 never had them!
Spearmint oil and rubbing alcohol ... works freaking amazingly well ! That being said... I dont recall them in either of my cars. 68 Cuda 69 Swinger . Maybe thats where my wind whistle is coming from ?
