Was wondering how that engine was coming along? Nice Layout
Check the rotation of your drill, CCW counter clock wise for priming the big blocks. Priming the Small Blocks is the opposite, turning CW clockwise. Big Block = distributor shaft rotation, counter clockwise.
A little engine detailing:
Yeah, I got it to squirt out of the drivers side. CCW and a smidge more of a turn on the crank did it. found #1 compression stroke and putting stuff back together for a hopeful start tomorrow. Do I have to prime RIGHT before starting? or am I good with the night before? thanks! I know this is supposed to be what we did on our car today, so that is what I did.....should I not be asking questions? No feelings hurt if not. Just say it.
Should be fine to start
Get a fake mopar battery cover and you nailed it.
Ask all the questions you want, we all want to see you get it right. If there gets to be a lot of questions you can start a new "Build" thread and pick it up and go again from there.
Nota nothing, but visiting in Tulsa, Ok. Enjoying family from all directions! My favorite Nephew just got married! Great event and happy for him and his new wife! He helped me and my wife drop the car over the engine and trans, and install the rear axle assembly! In 2014! Never even shared his welding prowess to his grand pops, never mind his father! Cat got out the bag tonight! Very proud of the boy!
Replaced the 4 speed tranny's rear drive shaft seal in my 65 `cuda as it was starting a tiny drip when when hot... ( I Hate "drips" ) At age 76, it took me a little over an hour to complete... I checked it this morning after last night's car hangout at Mixteca here in Arizona... Dry ! = Smile
I'm cleaning up my shop a little bit today, because our Thanksgiving visitors later this week will want to check out my projects.
Rescued another one! Not sure why!?!
Worked on my son car a little bit, the go wings paint was chipping away so I wanted to redo it, plus add our own customizing. Redid the rear tail lights as well. Sorry for the bad lighting was getting dark and phone was almost dead.
Spending some alone time with the heads removing skin tags before it gets sent to the machine shop....
Quality time alone...........

Repairing the sun visors. Stitching split on them so went down to Joanne's fabrics and picked up some outdoor upholstery thread and heavy needles for leather work. Not perfect into the chrome tab due to age and wear but I'm happy with the result. Used a needle nose plier to stitch and followed the existing stitch holes as a guide.
