Didn't work on the Dart, but yesterday evening it was a perfect 76 and sunny. Drove it to a car club meeting at the local BBQ place, also put 8 gallons of alcohol-free pump premium in the 10 gal. fuel cell for "only" $4.649 a gallon I had my other half in the passenger seat so I couldn't really stomp on it. Probably just as well Of course, when I shut it off at the gas station, the heat-soaked mini-starter wouldn't turn over fast enough to fire up again. A 5-minute wait and off we went. I really need one of those $300 "clockable" starters (and a heat shield blanket too). Or a really big battery!
Well this went smoother/easier than I thought it would. Dropped off the 383/727 to the new owner. Looks like it will end up in a 69 Superbee. I do wish I'd of gone up a size in casters. May change them out at some point.
Put new engine harness in this winter, thought I'd fire it up and see if I messed up. Started right up, now have to wait for snow to go away and rain to wash away salt. Almost that time Plus it was 60 today, so nice
Took my wife on a drive around town also, That was after I dropped 4 trees, cut them up and stacked. Might not be able to get out of bed in the morning, lol.
Finished the wiper motor installation, put the front seat back in and then hand glazed the whole car. Getting ready for spring!!!
Lots to do on the E body today. Putting the rear end back together after replacing the axle seals, new brake shoes (since gear oil from the worn out axle seals was all over the brakes), pressing on new U joints, new brake line, and if there's time, I'll start tearing into the transmission for a rebuild. Who am I kidding, I work so slowly that I'll be lucky to finish two of those items... I found a gear tooth inside the axle housing, but the differential didn't seem to be having any issues. I'm just wondering how/why this happened.
Working on my headlight wiring again. I got all the wires in place in the factory looms and mounted the relays to the rad support. I need to install the battery and test the headlights before I reinstall the parking lights and button everything back up.
Finaly i primed the front end the insperation has been on the negative side for a long time now do to my decise iv got me/cfs and its a horible thing thats making me bed bound for days, today is a better day for me so got some work doned on the truck slow process
Trying to talk myself into a full restoration of the 1977 Dodge Warlock ????? You know, A frame off deal....
Do you really have to talk yourself into doing something you know you want to do? Come on just do it and take lots of photos.
Done for now no more dodge mods for a whilde put on the new hood locks and went for a test drive 100 mph no problems thay hold just fine
First cruise-in of the year, at Autozone this week. Decent turnout, various makes including a flathead Power Wagon. Owner said it was pretty much done by 50 mph but it could pull almost anything, slowly ;) This afternoon was 59F and sunny, the Dart loved it too (barely ran 180F in town and on the highway).
