The spring special had chromed plastic in the grilles. Not sure if it was a different part # vs the standard grille.
Also the rear trunk trim is hard to find, but I believe repopped(very thin).
Tail light lenses $$.

They repop one of them. They are apparently different but OER says the one will work in both places just not 100% correct.

How hard is it to remove them to get them rechromed without destroying the grill?

Grille inserts come out easy. The whole is grille is sort of layered where one thing supports the next.

You would have to plastic chrome the whole grille and paint blackout everything but the leading edge. There’s a close up picture here on FABO somewhere. Originally it’s like a chrome cap.

Honestly, not a show stopper if missing.

Nice project Jim. My first 68 Barracuda had the side spears and gills. I never realized they were something special, but come to think of it my 68 Formula S notch did not have them.

Steve what are other items that are impossible to find for this? It is mostly all there just the rear clip was stripped getting ready for the graft that never happened. Grills are unobtainable from what I gather but this one looked great.

Backup light bulb sockets that anre in good condition and OEM housings are difficult to find. Ask me how I know. I have a lead on 68-69 thumbwheel radio if you need. The mounting of these is unique to these 2 years.
