I found a new set of headlights like these on ebay for $40 a set..Has anyone ever used them? I like the way they look, would make my 72 dart look pretty awesome going down the road at night. But I want to know what you think...

They look cool but I would like to see them on at night.

I want to see them at night too. But I don't know anyone who has them or any videos of them. I might just get them anyway, if they arn't too great, I still have the stock ones.

you'll have to installed a relay the stock switch will not handle them

I got a set like that for my bug 7" light bucket they are pretty damn bright, The ones i got are from Moore parts source (came with bulbs) they have a smooth reflector and dont have the light bulb cover reflector thing, NOT Dot ( if you care about that sort of thing) But look really good :) $13 eack for 35/60 watt and $20 each for 100/130 watt

How long did they last joe?

There still on there its a H3 conversion so the plug is different but that's easy to fix and a worth while mod for the performance. I got the $13 ones and put slyvania silver stars in, the bulbs cost more that the conversion lights I'm very happy and will do this to all of my cars when they need to be replaced.

Search the previous posts about headlight conversions before you throw your money away. Check out what our resident lighting expert, Slansixdan, has to say about those. Then save your money for a decent lighting upgrade.

Thats what I have in my 67 fish. The price can be a bit decieving. Beware of marked up shipping charge. The harness connector to the bulb bottoms out in the headlight house. It fits but the wires are bent 90 degrees and tight against the sheet metal. The rubber boots on the back side rot away in a hurry too. I dsidn't like the blue tint bulbs either. Buying clear or white light bulbs just added to the cost.
I actually bought 2 pairs of those and cut a pair up to make my park fixtures match.
Too much spent and 4 blue tint bulbs I have no use for.

Those housings SUCK! I would not recommend them to my worst enemy. They just puke light everywhere in all directions, And its VERY dim light. A friend bought me these type lights as a gift. I used them as they were free and I figured they were worth trying. They really suck. Stock style is a lot better than these. It concentrates the light in front of you and is WAY brighter. Long story short i replaced them with $10 a piece pepboys sealed beams, worlds brighter!

You gotta get the correct conversion lights for it to work right.

something like this is what you want

this is a quality housing that will project light in a correct pattern for you to see while night driving AND NOT blind on coming vehicles. i've tried several ebay type housings on several different cars and they all suck

this is a projector type housing with a HID H4 bulb, is it bright? hell yeah ! does the light go where you need it? HELL NO lol ... and everyone oncoming flashes hi beams because you will blind them.
