I weighed my 275/60/15’s that are mounted on 15x9” steel cop rims. These steam rollers came out to 58.4lbs each. The 15x9’s from wheel vintiques are actually lighter than the OEM 15x7’s that I have on the front. I didn’t get the chance to weight the fronts, but I have carried them both without tires on them and I can tell you the OEMs are heavier. I’m happy to get them on my cruiser for the look I’m after but damn they sure are heavy.

Interesting that about 240 lbs supports 3200 lbs and keep it going, stopping, and turning.

No where near that! Gotta love Centerlines! My back does! With 275/60/15’s rear and well, little pieces in front on 15/3.5 wheels!

I have OEM 15x7 police wheels on mine and man they are heavy. Those things are made of some serious steel.

No tires
1967 factory steel wheels:

14x5.5 are 18lbs
14x4.5 are 15.5lbs

Cooper cobra cobra gt tire:

205/70R14 are 23 lbs (per discount tire website)

18+23=41lbs

You got to remember them cops drove those cars like they stole them! I've had a few of them and they were just beat to piss. I had a pair widened to 10 inches with the original centers and yes, they are HEAVY

Yup, I know what my wheels weigh.

In the front my 18x9” Enkei RPF1’s weigh 17.1 lbs bare, and 45.8 lbs total with 275/35/18’s. In the back the 18x10” RPF1’s weigh 18.45 lbs bare or 49.4 lbs with 295/35/18’s.

By comparison the old 15x7 cop wheels weigh ~25 lbs bare or 50 lbs with 225/60/18’s

Have some 15X7 Cordoba aluminum wheels which weight 19lbs with 225 50 15 total is less than 40lbs.

Those are cool wheels but unless you luck into some with the oem centers! can be a little pricy. I have asset stashed away for one of my F bodies if I choose to use. Yes the cop wheels I just painted a pair for the rear of the 62 B body Dart. Heavy as a tank wheel! OK so tanks did not have cop wheels!!

Got some Amazon generic cheap chrome plastic ones

Mattax, That's great info for those that need to lighten a load, wheels and tire makes a substantial difference, you can shed a 100+lbs in selection. I was out getting my steering column installed today, here is my heavy ratted rust bucket. Ride height is not set yet, I have jacks front and rear lifting the body weight off suspension.
