what drivers side ex manifold should I search for? 66 dart/904/EQ heads. would like 2&1/4 but 2" is acceptable since 2" pipes are the limit in this class and I do have a thin racing steering column. thank you for your time. RR
 
Terringer are those 340 manifolds? JD I do have the big outlet magnum manifolds but the outlet flange is too close to the steering shaft. If I shifted the engine sideways a bit to the pass side would that mess up my ujoint angles?
 
It might cause a vibration if you shifted it too much. Could you swap the manifolds side to side and let them dump in the front? Or just do the drivers side that way and then use another one to dump in the rear on the passenger side?

Your class allows headers. I have tested this on the dyno and they are 25 hp better than the best ported manifolds on the open chevy motors (the chevy version of your motor). Imca has already approved the use of these headers on a mopar. I sent you a link on that. On my stock car with the eq magnum heads I use a chevy header with a magnum flange. I just cut the chevy flange off and weld on the mopar EQ flange. The EQ magnum head has the center two exhaust ports spaced farther apart than LA heads an shaped rounder than factory magnum and LA heads . Schoenfeld headers makes a flange to fit. It's in their catalog. In your class you don't have to run a stock steering column or in the stock location. You can put it where ever you want with 3/4" tubing and ujoints. You will be the only car on the track running manifolds.

I perused the IMCA hobby stock rules & see the italized note that schoenfeld 4485-20 headers are now allowed. I talked to one guy there at schoenfeld & he said the part # for the EQ heads version is 4485eq-20 but they are refusing to sell them because of no fit. I called back later & got another guy & he said they are available but there are several caveats: you must run a robbmcperformance mini starter for clearance & do some grinding on the bellhousing. the starter is $390 + $330 for the headers. I do use a chrysler mini starter (not sure what it is off of but it is very small). I wouldn't imagine that the robbMC starter could be much smaller. I worry about the kickdown linkage/pivot on the side of the trans. If I had to ditch that could I just wire the kickdown lever all the way back? this is where I am at so far.

I wonder if you could get a set of chevy headers from speedway and carefully without scratching them up hold them in place without bolting them to see if they will clear your starter. You should be able to return them if you don't scratch them up.
