I’m going to be getting the Edelbrock 1404 carburetor and want to make sure I purchase the right connections for the fuel line. Unlike the Holley 2300 Which I had a lot of trouble getting one to fit.

i bought these. had to modify bend the line to work with A/C but it turned out OK

the 1158 does not fit. that link is just to show the style fitting an edelbrock 1404 will come with if you bought it new. the female tapped fuel inlet is 5/8-20 on the carb though. you can put any style on there you want as long as your fitting has 5/8-20 male threads on it

Awesome, thank you for clearing that up for me.

yeah you can go 3/8, 5/16, an fitting, inverted flare etc... whatever floats your boat on connecting your fuel line to the carb. but the fitting on the carb side is 5/8-20

That’s what I needed to know, thank you much
Thing is when I bought my 2300 Holley carburetor for my slant6 on my Dart, I must of tried three before getting it right!!

i broke out a set of calipers and a thread pitch gage then started searching the web for what i wanted. a lot of companys dont get into specifics like that on their weak descriptions sometimes.
