How in the heck can I clean up my Hooker ceramic coated headers?
They have had oil drip down on them and then baked on with the heat.
Do they have to be recoated?

Try 0000 steel wool....extra fine

Use the steel wool with your favorite degreaser or one of the purple cleaners.

My first thot was laquer thinner and a poly scratch pad --

Try cleaners for glass cook tops. I would try the least likely to scratch the ceramic method, as I would suspect that once the surface is scratched it would dirty faster in the future

We use some of the orange hand cleaner with the pumice, works pretty well.

We used to use "X-treem" metal polish on my boss's boat headers. It comes in a jar with a polish impregnated wad of cotton inside. It works really well and doesn't scratch the surface at all.
