When I'm drinking, I'm in my den, door closed and relaxing in my underwear. I said relaxing. When I'm in my Classic, I'm driving In my Classic, I don't drink and drive. Not even speakers in it. And no rear seat. Jus me, the 367, the clutch, and the Hurst, partying dry, no cupholders allowed.

Plywood, carpet, and some left over scrap metal.
AND NOW IT IS TIME for a really annoying story from the old days In my home town, there was a small "gut." "Drive the gut." One end of one part of the "gut" was "Don's drive in" which had a small lot you could pull in, make a half circle and go back out the opposite way down the "gut." My "second" car was a 57 Chev Bel Air moredoor that I'd bought with a rod out the block from some unfortunates from one of the Dakotas. I swapped the engine out of my "first" car into it, a 57 265. Later, it bore a 327. ANYWAY when I first got the girl going, the only working generator I had DID NOT Have the extended shaft to run the power steering...........so I did without. One day my dad---------a parts guy at the local NAPA......pointed out that I could probably buy a rebuilt "the correct one" for all of 25 bucks.........So I did.........and instant power steering. Now I knew NOTHING about alignment, caster, camber, all that, back then. With no power, you could just let go the wheel, and it would ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzziiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiIPPPPPPPPPPPP from the turn back to somewhere around center!!!! But for some reason, with the power unit alive, it had VERY little return on a turn. You had to 'help' it back. So we are in Don's drive in. .............and we get great big huge not to mention large milk shakes.........and we pull out of the lot and I turn the wheel, and let go, and ABSOLUTELY NOTHING HAPPENS!!! It keeps RIGHT ON "right turning" and heads for the CURB!!!! So I make a huge wild grab for a bunch of wheel, and in so doing, TURN THE BRAND NEW MILKSHAKE exactly perpendicular...........upside down.........all over the carpet and shifter!!!! I had not thought of that little "story" in decades Don's, circa "whenever" back then
That's a great story but, sweetie next to you on the seat didn't beat your ass for spilling your milkshake on her? Your holding back...
I like her but she's drinking all my beer!
With a full manual reverse pattern valve body, i need both hands, no beverages allowed in my Duster.
I don't think I got a drop on the passenger. It was a perfect "drop" upside down LOL Bear in mind this was 1966-1967 that was a HELL of a long time ago
I just put it on the console, stays unless I make hard turns, but with Chryslers power steering there is always a hand available. Alan
Tough with a stick and factory console. I drive with my morning coffee in my left hand. Luckily I converted to power steering.
