I have a MSD Blaster 2. It says to keep it upright, but I have no place to do that. I just had it mounted on the side on back of the intake next to the distributor. I'd like to mount it upright on the pass side firewall. All I'd really need to hold it in place is two smaller sheet metal screws. Can anyone tell me if there is anything back there that I'd end up punctuating if I would do that??

and I might as well ask right away... I just have a stock ECU, and electric distributor for now, but with the MSD Blaster coil, should I open up the plug gap to .045?

Thanks much!!!

been driving around with a msd blaster II mounted on the back of intake sideways like stock coil for 5 yrs now...

Huh, funny! Did you notice in the instructions it said not to do that?? Something to do with oil in the coil, or something?

in fact I have msd blaster 2 coils on both races cars...and guess what...the coil is mounted sideways on the intake....
