What springs?

What leaf springs do I need to get for my 74 Dart Sport? I have 235 70 15 tires and the stock springs are so shot they almost point towards the ground. I ordered some SS springs from Jegs but they didn't lift the body high enough. I am thinking about the XHD springs from JC Whitney but they are on backorder at the moment. Any thoughts?

SS springs will lift the car higher then the xhd springs.

SS springs should lift your body 2 to 3 inches higher than stock at least. If you want more than that you will need air shocks or have your springs rearked at a spring shop.Hard to believe SS springs didn't raise it high enough for 235 70 tires.

How high you want your car to sit? Most say SS springs lift the car to high. What ones did you get? 3000lb or 2800LB?

Anybody tried the XHD springs from JCW? I would like maybe 2" over stock on my 68 fish and have no ides if the 5 leaf springs are stock or not.

I got the 2800 lb springs, even with aftermarket shackles the wheel well was right at the top of the tire. Maybe I just need to lower the front some. I want the back even or slighly higher than the front.

Take your car to the scales and weigh it. I used the 002 and 003 superstock springs.
