its allmost time to get tires for the beast. i have 14 inch rims and i thought they made 275/60/14s but i cant find them. i was hopin on that size and i have no 15 inch rims. BUT if i can get ahold of some 15 inch rims 8 inches or wider im goin as big as possible so as to HELP the launch with 3.91s. got any facts pictures or anything like that. greatly appreciated thanks

I have 295-50r15s on 15x8 wheels with 3.75" backspace on my Duster. Super Stock springs in the stock location and a little clearancing on the inside lip on the wheel wells. Heres a pic of the rear.

i have 2 15x8 rallys for sale and they were on my duster with 275/60/15 tires and fit with 1/8 clearance with a 1/8 spacer

no they are 14x6 and they dont sell big tires for 14in wheels anymore, this is why i bought the 15x8, i have them for sale for 85 each they go for about 10 more each

oo ok. i bought rally slots that are 14 by 8s but they wont fit the DAMN cars bolt pattern. there for a 4 inch but the studs are too close in the pattern. i guess i gotta sell them and get some GOOD rims. maybe cops wheels that are just plain but 15s off a ram or something. but only if there wide enough

OK...so what kind of clearance do you have in the INSIDE? Would they have fit better if you had a 4" backspace instead of the 3.75"?

mine will fit yours mines 4.5 bolt spacing
and you will have 15x8 in the rear and 14x6 in the front. I ran this setup and it was nice

ooooo nvm good luck, wheels are usually little more costly for small bolt

Clearance on the inside is about 3/4". If I would have had the Super Stock springs on the car when I put the rear wheels and tires on, I probably wouldn't have even had to grind the inner lip on the wheel well. They would barely rub if I hit a big bump in the road with the stock /6 rear suspension parts. 4" backspace would have helped too, but then the tire might be too close to the springs.

Theoretically it would have only moved the tire 1/4" closer to the spring. And if you have 3/4" with a 3.75 backspace then with a 4" you would have about 1/2" clearance on the inside, and about 3/8" on the outside.

That sound right? I'm fixin to go through this soon and want to get it right.

That would be correct. I also had new quarter panels put on both sides of the car, so I'm not sure if the lip on the wheel well is different than it was on the factory quarters either. Either way, I would still have put the SS springs on the car to get the rear up a little, or at least some ESPO springs or heavier than stock /6 springs.

I think the largest available size that will fit a 14x7 rim is 245-60-14. I plan on running this size in back and 205-70-14 in front. The 205s are less than a half inch smaller in diameter. I would have gone with 15 inch rims except I have a set of factory mag wheel covers for the 14s.

I'm probably gonna go with a 15X8" with a 4" backspacing and a 275/60, assuming this will all fit properly.
