Whats this part? My Turn!!!

Ok, it's my turn to play whats this part.
What I do know is this is an ANCO wiper arm.
What I don't know is the application so that I can attempt to source wiper blades.
I think its from a 1950's to early 60's GM maybe a VW?
not sure.
Any help would be great!

looks like maybe 55-59 GM with part of the blade still stuck onto the arm?

The piece is riveted to the arm.
The arm is also straight, no bend in the arm.

Does that end slide off the arm? Im wondering what that stainless sleeve over the aluminum looking arm is there for in picture one. Does that red button do anything? Perhaps the rivet does not penetrate the arm....

It won't come off. It's riveted for sure.
I'm thinking if the rivet is drilled out, it can be used as a bayonet type arm. The only down side is there is no bend in the arm, so when the blades go to park, the blades won't go flush with the bottom of the windshield.
This isn't mine, but I'm trying to help someone out.
He's wanting to use the arms on a B body.

That does look a lot like a mid 60’s VW wiper arm.
