Anyone else on FABO into the old school Japanese cars? I mean like the old Datsun/Nissans and even the Toyotas. For some reason I really like them- it's probably because I have a 1986 Nissan 300ZX. I like seeing the other old school Japanese cars out there too though. I'm not talking about the modified "JDM" ones that are hacked apart and look like ****. Just the original, factory cars (with maybe some engine upgrades) :D. I personally love the 1981 Datsun 280Z Turbo. I appreciate all cars, but the old Japanese ones are sure some beauties. What is your favorite old Japanese car (from Datsun/Nissans and/or Toyotas) from the late 1960s to the 1980s?

This one in the picture is one of my personal favorite old Japanese cars- a 1981 Datsun 280Z Turbo.

Love the styling of the Nissan Skyline 2000GT-R, it's got the aggressive muscle-car-esque styling to it but still classic Japanese. also like the FJ-40's too and a couple more I can't name off the top of my head.

Had a 83 Toyota Supra. Was a very fun car to drive. put 240,000 miles on it.

I bought a 1971 Datsun 510 2D sedan in 1971 when my 66 chevelle burned to the ground. That car was a little rocket and way ahead of its time. I put a "Starsky & Hutch" Imron paint job on it and it turned heads all over town. Went to work one day-wife put a "For Sale $500 sign on it and when I came home it was gone and I had $500 and no car.

I think that $500 would be my retainer for a divorce lawyer...

i had a 1980 datsun 210. some moron made a right turn from the middle lane and totaled it for me. the moron didn't have insurance and tried to say i was at fault for his stupidity.

Retainer for a lawyer! I have to agree. Or you better know who bought my car and where they took it so I could "hopefully" get it back. I hold a grudge to easily!

Datsun 240Z and the 1600/2000 Roadsters. Also reminds me of the time I was at the old Fremont Dragstrip one night and watched a Mazda R100 (rotary predecessor to the RX2 and RX3) beating a Road Runner ... Twice. Man, that thing must have revved to 10000, it was ear splitting!

Dead on,the early rotaries,were absolutely noisy,drive one with a home built setup..This engine,is timeless.

I have a yellow 72 Mazda RX2 rusting away in my backyard..........
