Hey fellow a body friends I have a couple questions hopefully you guys can answer! I am looking for longer wheel studs for my eight and three-quarter rear end. I have factory 10 inch drum brakes and I am planning to run a slick at the dragstrip. So I need to know what the thread pitch is and how long the stud needs to be.

The stock RH thread stud is a Dorman 610-186. Thread is 7/16-20. Length 1.5". Knurl .472 inch. Shoulder .344 inch.

If you go to the Dorman website, you can download an Excel listing of all their studs, and run a search for thread type or knurl to see if they have a longer version.

You need these. Moroso used to sell them but no more. Hard to find 7/16-20 any more for our 4” bolt pattern cars. Best choice is to upgrade to 4.5 bolt circle axles and the choices are there.

Be careful! They still list 7/16 20 studs but read the fine print! Most of what they still have and sell is GM only.
