Hi All

I am having a hard time finding wheels (i like) with enough backspace? I have only found very limited choices on the market. I went to a large GTA supplier to have my car measured for replacement wheels after I installed the offset leaf spring kit in the rear and the shop said 7 inch is the max? Custom made is likely the only choice for extra backspace?

I know 15 inch wheels are no longer popular but I never thought my choices would be limited to OE style wheels.

Anyone have recommendations for a brand to search/supplier in southern Ontario?

Summit has Cragars 15" sbp. Not many sbp options.
I have 15x8 sbp steelies and they fit with stock rear 8 3/4 suspension.

what kind of car ?

Hey All

Yeah, sorry but it is a 1968 Dodge Dart w/15 wheels. Aftermarket disc (F&R) conversion package and 4.5 bolt pattern. I found the front hubs are spaced outwards a bit and so tires size in front is P2256015 - MAX.
Rear is the real question as I moved springs in .5 in per side with the offset kit. All the 7 inch wheels they tried put the tire right up close to the 1/4 and they want me to cut the lip to clearance. I am not comfortable with that as i have seen 10 inch wheels on A body car so I figured an 8 or 9 in should work.
Again the shop told me i would need customer wheels? unless i am buying OE style Rallye

Those cars can use a 7" with a 4-4.5" backspace. 8" with wheel well trimming. What wheels do you have on it now? Measure what they are and measure what space you have left to answer your question as to what fits. Moving the springs .5" will give you a little extra clearance but probably not enough to go to the next wider wheel. I have 15X7's with a 4.25" backspace on the rear of mine with a 255/60 tire. Mine is a 70 but the rer tire wells are very similar to the 67-69 cars. My rear springs have had an extra leaf added which does give it some clearance. One side is quite close. I can't slide my fingers between the tire and the wheel opening molding. They haven't been trimmed.

15X7'S but i am not sure of the backspace. I will pull a wheel and measure myself on weekend. What size are those front tires?

Like toolmanmike, I have 15" X 7" sbp WheelVintiques Rallye wheels with 4 1/4" backspacing. Currently I'm running P245/60R15 tires, but I have room for P255/60R15s (next time). My car also has ManciniRacing 2800lb springs in factory location (with 741 case 3.23:1 sure grip 8 3/4" rear end).

I have the 3/4 - 1/2 inch spring relocation kit on my Dart with custom 7 inch wide 14 inch rallyes and yes I was unable to use 8 inch rims even with a custom offset.
