This set of heads is hopefully going on my new high compression 408 that I will be starting very soon so I can start the 2020 race season with while I rebuild my 422. I can tell you right now after roughing in the pinch this will be a one of a kind project for me. Way to much grinding and I am locked into the Indy intake I modified for this deal.

Friggin sweet!

Don't mean to bug you with a few questions here, but love seeing stuff like this (followed yours and others work in other threads, learned quite a bit along the way). Are you going to run 2.08's, or..? Who's rockers do you end up running when you go offset like this? Last but not least, will you post flow #'s for us to ogle...puh puh please? Certainly understand if you take a vow of silence.

After he lets us know the valve size, who wants to guess what this big joker will flow?

is that just for the porting, or to get bigger valves in? or maybe both?

Harlan Sharp made me up eight 1.6 ratio rockers with .350 offset to see if by moving the pushrod over I could beat my best flowing Edelbrock Head at 318 cfm with the same 2.08 valve.

I believe your going to easily eclipse that mark. 340 cfm would not surprise me at all.

325 would beat the guys running their "big mouths" a little West of you

Do you end up having to drill the new pushrod holes at an angle, or how does that part work?

Still very good looking work. I am curious to see what the low and mid lift flows are on this level of Edelbrock head. Do you have the numbers on the 360-1s?

I’m not even thinking that far down the road. My Harbor Freight drill press has an adjustable angle setup on the table so that with probably be getting used.

Somewhere around here but they will be coming off my 422 soon. It went a best of 5.98 and a handful of 6.001’s@2880 pounds

They will be getting more work over the winter but I’m only running a .650 solid lifter cam.

View attachment 1715451517 If you haven’t noticed by now I have very few secrets. If you guys are interested I don’t mind sharing
How do those compare to the offset on a W2?

I wish I would have picked up a set of the SM during to sale to play with and maybe learn something like this. I’m starting to see how much work it is though. One port isn’t bad but you need to duplicate it eight times or you are peeing into the wind.

I think the offset for the W2 is .750 but I'd have to run out and measure them for sure, and it's too late for that tonight.
