Where to find matching numbers.....

....on a '69 Dart GTS - Auto. I know I have seen some posts in the past on where to look on engine, trans, radiator support, rear end.....but have had no luck finding those.

Looking at one to buy this weekend, so any help appreciated.

Core support drivers side on top usually under the antifreeze sticker. Trunk rail drivers side under the weatherstrip. Both require paint removal to see them unless they are original, but still require weatherstrip and glue removal, most sellers don't want that to happen. Passenger side of engine just above oil pan rail on a 3/4"x3" flat pad machined into the block. Passenger side of trans on bellhousing of automatic and side of 4-speed near the front on machined pads. Fender tag also.

I have also found numbers on the package tray, you can lay in the trunk, and see them.

The radiator support numbers are usually clearly visible. Of course they may not be if the car has been painted numerous times.

The numbers on the package tray of a 69 Dart are NOT VIN numbers.
